Tropica Beach Hotel (Adults Only) - San Juan

Not What We Expected

We spent two nights in a King Room, and the boarded window. The mildew in the shower was concerning. We found the pool size underwhelming.

Booked a double room, that was provided with excellent mattress and the patio, for instance. It was in a central setting near to the airport. There was La Cueva Del Mar, located nearby, where we relaxed.

The hotel was quirky with attentive staff and an absolutely perfect location close to the sea. Location: the property was not far from restaurants and nightlife, a spa rather than for guest and La Placita and Ashford Rd, a block away from Calle Loiza.

It was just a fitting option for a quick weekend visit in San Juan with excellent value. The shower had a partial wall , made it a bit tricky, but it stayed clean. Bring extra towels since there are only 2 hooks for drying wet clothes.

The outdoor pool was a great spot for lounging, and we loved taking walks along the beach. Just a heads up, a bit more drawer space would've been nice, but overall it was an lovely getaway 😊

Perfect spot near the beach

Loved this place! Super close to the beach and tons of restaurants. The staff were incredibly nice, especially Carlos. He was super helpful. My room was cozy with a comfy bed, and everything was spotless. Enjoyed the free beach chairs and towels. Just wish the coffee in the lobby was better. The tiny pool is more for looking at than swimming!

The boutique hotel was decorated beautifully and exuded a fresh scent throughout. The staff were attentive. One team member even halted her break to assist with my request for conditioner. Breakfast at the restaurant was a highlight, with regional dishes packed with flavor. Everything was conveniently close, including the beach.

It was super close to both Playa Ocean Park, just about 900 meters away, for some relaxing beach time, and a quick 10-minute stroll to the vibrant La Placita area, where I found amazing local dining options, made my culinary adventures lovely.

The room felt cramped and lacked basic amenities like a closet. The broken blinds left us in a rather dark and unwelcoming environment, which we repeatedly requested to be fixed, but nothing was done during our four-night stay.

The location was convenient, just a 25-minute walk from a lovely grassy park. the hotel staff was always genuinely helpful and responsive. - the breakfast served in the courtyard was amazing.

Had an awesome time during my vacation here. the hotel is perfectly located right by the beach, and super close to downtown. Plus, you've got shopping and tons of restaurants nearby 🏖️.
